Product Development:The DB900 series of molecules regulates certain nuclear receptors (peroxisone proliferator-activated receptors, PPARs) that regulate the genes involved in controlling blood sugar levels and certain lipids (e.g. total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglycerides). These compounds act as agonists of PPARgamma, PPARalpha, and PPARdelta. The Company is conducting preclinical studies and plans to initiate clinical trials in 2009.
